Round 1 Franco fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Fritz Best. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. A strong elbow forces Janu Franco to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Fritz attempts to drop a fist on Franco, but misses and lands in his guard. Janu Franco fires elbows off his back to the top of the head of Fritz. Franco lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Janu is almost caught in a omoplata but is able to work his way back to guard. While caught in Francos guard, Fritz gets hit with a vicious elbow. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Franco connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Fritz Best fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Janu to the cage. Janu swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Janu Franco dodges some ground strikes from Fritz, and sends a few back of his own. An heel strike attempt is dodged by Best and he traps Janus extended leg to move to half guard. Fritz slams his knee into Francos ribs. Best tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Fritz slips out of half guard and into side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Fritz Best connects with numerous jabs to the face of Janu. Franco is staggered by a jab to the chin. Best throws a few jabs at Janu Franco that miss the mark. Fritz attempts a takedown, but Janu Franco clumsily falls down without much provocation.Round 3 comes to a close.
