Round 1 "The Rock" connects with a jab cross combination. Trey connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Gruber. Both fighters begin to exchange Trey Phillips catches Jo Gruber with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Jo Gruber gather himself. Jo Gruber says he is ok and the fight continues. "The Rock" tries to hyperextend the knee of Trey with a kick to the kneecap. Trey hops back to avoid it. Phillips parries "The Rocks" jab and lands a hook. Phillips circles Jo, landing a front snap kick that stuns him. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Trey keeps "The Rock" at a distance with some well timed jabs. Gruber is able to press Phillips to the cage, forcing a momentary clinch. Phillips wriggles out of the clinch and throws looping hooks to back Gruber off. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Jo escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Jo Gruber catches a leg kick from Trey Phillips, and puts him on the mat. Trey moves to half guard then is able to grab a butterfly guard, eventually working to standing. Trey sends "The Rock" to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Jo powers out sweeping Phillips with pure strength. Jo is now in side control. Jo drops some hammer fists on Phillips. "The Rock" puts his knee on the belly of Trey Phillips. Trey Phillips punches up and "The Rock" falls back with an armbar. Trey Phillips taps out.
