Round 1 Bang throws a push kick. Day shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Bangs nose.
Bang connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Butch ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Bang to the mat, and his back. Day begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Alex rolls to being mounted instead. Alex attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Day secures his position. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Butch Day works Alex into the cage from the clinch. Butch Day presses his head under Alex Bangs chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Bang is in the clinch with Day, and changes levels for a beautiful double leg takedown. Alex Bang tries to pass guard but Butch Day stops him with a well timed punch. Day connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Butch Day starts to lock a triangle. Alex postures up and Alex settles for a few stiff chops to Days face. Butch gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Alex Bang eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Butch Day. Alex tries to hyperextend the knee of Day with a kick to the kneecap. Day hops back to avoid it. Butch Day hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Bang. Butch throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Alex is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Butch Day connects with jab cross combination. Butch attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Alex Bang takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Round 3 is finished.
