Round 1 Skip connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. "Battery Acid" shoots in on Sanders who sprawls well and lands multiple outside strikes. "Battery Acid" gives up on the shot and rolls to his guard. "Battery Acid" connects with several chop shots from the bottom. Race attempts to transition to the butterfly guard but Skip Sanders is too quick and takes half guard. Sanders wraps the arm of Race Manning behind his back and traps it. Sanders pounds away with shots to the face. Skip wraps the arm of "Battery Acid" behind his back and traps it. Skip pounds away with shots to the face. Skip slips out of half guard and into side control. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Race Manning throws a cross that easily dodged by Skip Sanders. Skip lands a double jab. "Battery Acid" gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Skip tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. "Battery Acid" starts to wiggle out of back control, Skip Sanders lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. A single-leg attempt is well defended by Race Manning. Sanders stands up, lifting the leg of Race Manning and executing a trip takedown. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Battery Acid" works Sanders into the cage from the clinch. "Battery Acid" presses his head under Sanderss chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Race escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Sanders is met with a strong kick to the ribs. Sanders eats a stiff kick to the face. Sanders stuffs a shot from Race Manning and lands several shots to the body. Race Manning attempts to pull guard but Sanders pushes his way to full mount. Round 3 is finished.
