Round 1 The fighters circle each other. Mahdavi catches a leg kick from Kirk, and puts him on the mat. Wilson grabs the arm of Jamshid Mahdavi while in guard and holds tight eating shots to ribs. Wilson sinks a kimura, but cannot finish. He settles for a switch into mount. Wilson maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Kirk lands a double punch to the head of Mahdavi. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Jamshid feints a takedown attempt and connects with a left hook dropping Kirk. Jamshid dives into guard. An heel strike attempt is dodged by Jamshid and he traps Kirk Wilsons extended leg to move to half guard. Jamshid Mahdavi tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Jamshid slips out of half guard and into side control. Jamshid lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Mahdavi throws a knee into Kirk Wilsons ribs. Kirk tries to scramble to escape any more punishment but gives up his back in the process. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Jamshid Mahdavi keeps Kirk Wilson at a distance with some well timed jabs. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Mahdavi lands a double jab. Mahdavi takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Wilson takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Mahdavi shoots for a single leg but Kirk is able to hop away, defending well. Mahdavi takes the opportunity to execute a double-ankle pick and work to half guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
