Round 1 Kyle attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Pierno takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Gabriele Pierno slides his knee across the body of Kyle and takes full mount. Poulin attempts to escape mount but has no luck. "The Programmer" gets pummeled by the fists of Gabriele. "The Programmer" gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Pierno tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Gabriele lands a series of heavy punches forcing Kyle Poulin to roll to his back, giving Gabriele mount. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 A welt begins to form under Kyles eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Gabriele Pierno. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Pierno executes a single leg giving him the back of Kyle. Gabriele lands a series of heavy punches forcing Kyle Poulin to roll to his back, giving Gabriele mount. Poulin attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Gabriele Pierno maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Pierno is hit with a jab but is able to slip a cross and grab a arm-triangle in standing. Pierno trips Kyle Poulin to the floor, landing in side control. Gabriele attempts an armbar, but Poulin stops the attempt. Gabriele uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Pierno punishes Kyle Poulin with a series of strikes from the mount. Poulin gets pummeled by the fists of Pierno. Poulin gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Gabriele Pierno peppers Kyle Poulin with several shots to the face. Kyle Poulin tripods up, causing Pierno to fall forward. A scramble ensues and Kyle Poulin is able to take guard. Round 3 is finished.
