Round 1 A wild hook from Lopez is ducked by Hugh Edwards who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. "Drunkarate" hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Alejo Lopez throws a kick to the midsection that is caught by Edwards. Edwards lands a sweeping leg kick that puts Alejo Lopez on his back. Hugh Edwards kicks at the legs of Alejo and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Alejo to stand. Hugh connects with a right that puts Alejo Lopez off balance tumbling to the mat, as Hugh towers over him. "Drunkarate" stands over Alejo, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Alejo cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. "Drunkarate" hovers over Alejo Lopez pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. Alejo Lopez sends a hard up kick that rocks "Drunkarate". Alejo Lopez stands back up. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Alejo is hit with a hook and a shovel punch and stumbles backward. Edwards explodes forward with a push kick that puts Alejo on the canvas. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Edwards is staggered by a jab to the chin. Edwards throws a push kick. Lopez shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Edwardss nose.
Hugh connects with a teep to the face of Alejo. Both fighters begin to exchange Lopez catches Edwards with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Edwards gather himself. Edwards says he is ok and the fight continues. Hugh hits an uppercut to the head of Alejo Lopez followed by a hard hook. A looping right hook from Alejo Lopez sends Hugh Edwards to the mat. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 "Drunkarate" dodges a jab and throws a kick to the midsection of Alejo Lopez. After dodging a jab, Hugh Edwards lands a kick to the ribs of Alejo who winces in pain. Hugh Edwards connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Lopez hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Hugh Edwards lands multiple inside leg kicks that have Alejo Lopez circling away. Edwards lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Alejo Lopez. The bell signals the end of round 3.
