Round 1
Rios hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Cole. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Juancho Rios receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Cole Brooks. Juancho is jockeying for position in the clinch. Juancho Rios works to "Mels" back while standing. Juancho Rios throws a couple of outside shots until "Mel" is able to work his way back to the clinch. Rios receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Cole Brooks. Round 1 is over.

Round 2
Juancho starts to put on the pressure, forcing "Mel" back into the cage. Juancho takes advantage and clinches. A hip toss puts Brooks under Juancho Rioss side control. Rios attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Cole Brooks for his troubles. Juancho Rios attempts an armbar, but "Mel" stops the attempt. Juancho Rios uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Juancho Rios secures his position. Cole Brooks pulls "El Ultimo Mohican" close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
Rios lands a double jab. "Mel" connects with a series of punches forcing "El Ultimo Mohican" into a clinch. Cole pushes Juancho Rios into the cage. Juancho Rios works a whizzer and attempts to turn Cole but Cole illegally grabs the cage for leverage. The referee sees it and breaks the clinch for a restart. "El Ultimo Mohican" connects with a hard punch making "Mel" bring him in to a tight clinch. "El Ultimo Mohican" places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Rios executes a sweeping throw, planting Cole on the mat. Juancho Rios lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Cole almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
