Atsushi Raikatuji tries to move to half guard but "Two Day Old Flan" uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Alejandro fires elbows off his back to the top of the head of Atsushi. Alejandro Lopez locks a kimura and forces Atsushi Raikatuji to defend. Lopez presses his foot onto the thigh of Atsushi Raikatuji to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Round 3 The fighters circle each other. Lopez slides in and grabs a leg lock taking Raikatuji to the ground. Lopez works for a reverse heel hook but cannot finish and opts to enter Raikatujis guard. Atsushi Raikatuji is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Alejandro Lopez covers Atsushis mouth. As he opens his guard Alejandro Lopez is able to move to half guard. Atsushi Raikatuji holds the head of Lopez close to avoid shots. Lopez slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Alejandro takes the opportunity to execute a difficult double-ankle pick. The round comes to an end.
