Round 1 Balsiger tries to hyperextend the knee of Douglas Spalding with a kick to the kneecap. Douglas Spalding hops back to avoid it. Josua Balsiger connects with a hard punch making Spalding bring him in to a tight clinch. Douglas drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Josua attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. A full foot sweep knocks Spalding to the ground. Balsiger grabs a foot and kicks at Douglas Spaldings thighs. He then backs off and Douglas Spalding stands back up. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Spalding works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Douglas Spalding grabs the plum and pulls Josua Balsigers face towards a powerful knee which is blocked. Douglas Spalding lets go of the hold and lands a hook. Douglas Spalding circles away from Josua, landing strong kicks to the lead leg. Spalding lands a hook to the body. Spalding chips away at Balsiger with a series of kicks to the legs. Josua Balsiger begins a combination but Douglas Spalding ducks down, picking Balsigers leg. Douglas Spalding lifts Balsigers leg as high as he can and throws a sweeping leg kick. Spalding lays into Josua Balsiger with some stomps. Josua Balsiger can't handle it as the ref stops the fight.
