Round 1 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Wade connects with numerous jabs to the face of Ashton. Ashton Watkins gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Wade Coetzer begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Ashton Watkins rolls to being mounted instead. Ashton Watkins shifts his head and hips to keep Wade off balance and unable to land strikes. Ashton gives his back up trying to escape the mount. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Coetzer moves in to press the action, but Ashton lands a heavy back kick. Both fighters begin to exchange Coetzer catches Ashton with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Ashton gather himself. Ashton says he is ok and the fight continues. Wade Coetzer lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. Coetzer connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Ashton. Watkins lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Coetzer. Watkins then switch kicks Coetzer on the opposing rib. Ashton hits an uppercut to the head of "EFC Africa" followed by a hard hook. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 "EFC Africa" is struck by a ball kick from Ashton that causes him to stumble backwards. After dodging a jab-cross, Ashton lands a kick to the liver of "EFC Africa" who steps back and begins to take a knee. Ashton rushes forward to capitalize but "EFC Africa" stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Wade hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. "EFC Africa" connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Watkins. Watkins is hit with two hard punches to his face. Watkins laughs off the punches. Wade catches a kick from Watkins and drops down for a leg lock. Watkins attempts to spin out of it but the lock is still tight. Wade moves to a kneebar. Watkins fight through the pain and get to side control. Round 3 comes to a close.
