Patrik Perko lands a couple of outside hooks and Gray returns to the guard. Eugene Gray starts to create some distance with his legs, Perko capitalizes by passing to side control. Gray takes a few knees to the body while under Patrik Perkos side control. Perko slides his knee across the body of "Redneck Pheonix" and takes full mount. Round 2 Eugene gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Patrik Perko peppers Eugene Gray with several shots to the face. Eugene Gray starts to wiggle out of back control, Perko lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Eugene Gray attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Patrik takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Perko slides his knee across the body of Eugene Gray and takes full mount. Perko secures his position. Patrik Perko lands a double punch to the head of Eugene Gray. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Eugene throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Patrik puts Eugene on the mat giving his back up. Patrik executes a double hand slap to the ears of Gray. Eugene Gray starts to wiggle out of back control, Patrik lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Eugene Gray is caught with a double leg takedown, forcing him to give side control. Perko slides his knee across the body of Gray and takes full mount. Patrik punishes Eugene Gray with a series of strikes from the mount. Perko maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. The round comes to an end.
