Round 1 Vinnie Coleman connects with a hard punch making Hyeonjoon Hwang bring him in to a tight clinch. Vinnie places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. A strong elbow forces Coleman to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Hwang attempts to drop a fist on Vinnie Coleman, but misses and lands in his guard. Vinnie Coleman begins to posture on his side. Hyeonjoon Hwang lands a couple of outside hooks and Vinnie Coleman returns to the guard. Hyeonjoon Hwang tries to pass guard but Coleman stops him with a well timed punch. Coleman connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Vinnie connects with several chop shots from the bottom. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Vinnie Coleman wraps around Hyeonjoon Hwangs waist, and drags him to his back, taking side control Coleman slides his knee across the body of Hyeonjoon and takes full mount. Hwang attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Hwang gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Vinnie tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Hyeonjoon Hwang starts to wiggle out of back control, Vinnie lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Coleman connects with jab cross combination. Vinnie Coleman narrowly dodges a cross from Hwang, but falls catching him in his guard. Hyeonjoon drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Vinnie is caught off guard by a kneebar attempt from Hyeonjoon. Vinnie struggles out of the lock and attempts to scramble. Hyeonjoon is too quick and lunges forward to take half guard. Hwang attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as Vinnie gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Coleman holds the head of Hyeonjoon close to avoid shots. Hyeonjoon slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Hyeonjoon tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. The bell signals the end of round 3.
