Chuck connects with a series of punches forcing Cloutier into a clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Chuck dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Cloutier standing over him. Clive Cloutier attempts to drop a fist on Chuck McKinney, but misses and lands in his guard. Chuck McKinney attempts a kimura from the bottom. Clive Cloutier blocks the attempt and smothers Chuck McKinney who transitions to an armbar attempt. Clive Cloutier is able to defend this as well and works back into guard. Clive drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. McKinney begins to work the rubber guard. Clive is caught in a triangle while in McKinneys guard. He struggles but cannot get out. He eventually taps.
