Round 1 The fighters circle each other. Bade strikes with a straight front kick. Akintola tries to hyperextend the knee of Marty Martin with a kick to the kneecap. Marty Martin hops back to avoid it. Bade Akintola throws a kick to the midsection of Marty. A shot catches Bade off balance and off guard. Marty spears him and attains half guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Marty lowers his hands to block a body kick, but Akintola switches to a high kick and rattles the jaw of Marty.
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Marty drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Bade Akintola sets a guillotine choke but Marty slips out at the last moment. Marty is now caught in guard. Bade backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Bade Akintola pushes away from Martin and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg. Bade Akintola throws a push kick. Marty Martin shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Akintolas nose.
Bade Akintola connects with jab cross combination. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 A welt begins to form under Akintolas eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Marty. Martin works Akintola into the cage, swimming for double underhooks. Martin presses his head into Bades chest, forcing him to the ground. Bade Akintola is almost caught in a omoplata but is able to work his way back to guard. An heel strike attempt is dodged by "Fartin" and he traps Bade Akintolas extended leg to move to half guard. "Fartin" tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Marty tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Marty slips out of half guard and into side control. Round 3 comes to a close.
