Round 1 Liam connects with a hard punch making Hyeonjoon bring him in to a tight clinch. Fitzpatrick gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Liam dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Hyeonjoon standing over him. Hyeonjoon drops a huge strike to Liams chin, landing into his guard. Fitzpatrick connects with several chop shots from the bottom. Hyeonjoon Hwang tries to pass guard but Liam Fitzpatrick stops him with a well timed punch. Liam connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Hyeonjoon Hwang takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Fitzpatricks guard. It doesn't pay off as Liam Fitzpatrick makes his way to standing.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Liam takes Hwang down to the mat with a good double leg takedown, leading to him standing over Hwang. Liam Fitzpatrick drops a huge strike to Hwangs chin, landing into his guard. Liam Fitzpatrick mixes up a series of head and body shots until Hyeonjoon Hwang pulls him tight into his guard. Fitzpatrick passes through Hyeonjoons guard into mount. Liam punishes Hyeonjoon Hwang with a series of strikes from the mount. Hyeonjoon Hwang gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Liam lands a series of heavy punches forcing Hyeonjoon to roll to his back, giving Liam mount. Fitzpatrick punishes Hwang with a series of strikes from the mount. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Fitzpatrick connects with a series of punches forcing Hwang into a clinch. Liam works to Hwangs back while standing. Liam throws a couple of outside shots until Hyeonjoon is able to work his way back to the clinch. Liam Fitzpatrick is in the clinch with Hyeonjoon Hwang, and changes levels for a beautiful double leg takedown. Hwang starts to lock a triangle. Liam Fitzpatrick postures up and Liam Fitzpatrick settles for a few stiff chops to Hyeonjoons face. Hyeonjoon locks a triangle but Fitzpatrick defends well. Hyeonjoon decides to let go of the hold. Hyeonjoon connects with several chop shots from the bottom. Liam Fitzpatrick knocks the wind out of Hyeonjoon with a strong elbow strike to the abdomen. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
