Round 1 "Easter Surprise" keeps Cosmas at a distance with some well timed jabs. Barber connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Cosmas. Cosmas Athanas winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Athanas connects with a strong right hook. Barber dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Dustin Barber shoots in and executes a textbook single leg takedown, giving him side control. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Athanas eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Dustin Barber. "Easter Surprise" snaps back the head of Cosmas Athanas with a stiff jab. Barber executes a single leg giving him the back of Cosmas Athanas. Dustin begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Cosmas rolls to being mounted instead. Barber punishes Cosmas Athanas with a series of strikes from the mount. Cosmas Athanas gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 "Easter Surprise" connects with a series of punches forcing Cosmas Athanas into a clinch. "Easter Surprise" works to Athanass back while standing. "Easter Surprise" throws a couple of outside shots until Cosmas Athanas is able to work his way back to the clinch. Cosmas Athanas takes "Easter Surprises" back standing. Dustin isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Cosmas Athanas lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Dustin to release. Barber connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Cosmas Athanas throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Dustin Barber is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Cosmas Athanas parries Dustins jab and connect with a cross. Dustin Barber attempts a takedown, but Athanas clumsily falls down without much provocation. Barber stands over Cosmas, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Cosmas is able to grab an arm and pull Barber into his guard. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 Dustin takes a punch and goes to the mat, Cosmas pounces into side control. Dustin recovers quickly. Dustin is wisely defending a kimura. Cosmas attempts to take it but Dustin is having none of it, though Cosmas has used the chance the slide into mount. Dustin pulls Cosmas close to avoid a flurry of strikes. "Easter Surprise" gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Cosmas peppers Dustin Barber with several shots to the face. Cosmas lifts up "Easter Surprise" into a german suplex and sends him crashing down onto the back of his head. Cosmas takes side control. Round 4 is finished.
Round 5 Cosmas Athanas fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Dustin Barber. "Easter Surprise" places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Athanas drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Dustin Barber sets a guillotine choke but Athanas slips out at the last moment. Athanas is now caught in guard. Cosmas is pulled close and is hit with a couple of strong heel strikes to the back. "Easter Surprise" locks a triangle but Cosmas defends well. "Easter Surprise" continues the attempt but finally decides to let go. Cosmas Athanass face is red from the choke and sits low in the guard to catch his breath. Dustin Barber pulls Athanas close and connects with a few heel strikes to the back. Dustin moves to half guard then is able to grab a butterfly guard, eventually working to standing. Round 5 is finished.
