Round 1 Kirk ducks and weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty uppercut. Kirk winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Martinez connects with numerous jabs to the face of Kirk. Kirk Ingram connects with a right that puts Ricardo off balance tumbling to the mat, as Kirk Ingram towers over him. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Ricardo dodges a series of strikes from Ingram and counters with a body shot and cross. Ricardo then backs up and wags a finger at Ingram. Ingram dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Martinez keeps Kirk Ingram at a distance with some well timed jabs. Martinez lands a hook to the body. Kirk throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Martinez. A lazy leg kick from Martinez is caught by Kirk Ingram who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Martinez.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Martinez ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Kirk and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. Martinez blocks a hook cross combo but is pushed backward. Ingram tries to press the action but is met with a hook, uppercut that keeps him at bay. Ingram lands a jab, but it is returned by a sick uppercut from Ricardo. Martinez eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Kirk. Ricardo Martinez connects with a hard jab as Kirk Ingram attempts a wide outside hook. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. The round comes to an end.
