Round 1 Hayes connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Dante. Dante is staggered by a jab to the chin. Hayes throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. "Mickey" is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Claude Hayes locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of Dante Ward. Claude Hayes grinds his forearm into the face of Dante while holding him into the cage. Claude Hayes lands some solid knees to the legs of Dante from the clinch. Hayes is able to work to two overhooks and lands some strong knees and short hooks. Hayes is in the clinch, but drops levels, scoops Dante Ward up and slams him hard onto the floor. Dante Ward is out cold.
