Round 1 Tyson connects with a series of punches forcing Miller into a clinch. Evans places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Merten attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Evans pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Tyson Evans is rocked by a standing elbow strike. Merten presses forward landing a couple more strikes, but Tyson Evans survives the onslaught with well timed blocks. Miller hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. After dodging a jab-cross, Merten lands a kick to the liver of Evans who steps back and begins to take a knee. Merten rushes forward to capitalize but Evans stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Evans takes down Merten Miller, but remains standing over him. Evans pounces with some severe ground and pound forcing the ref to stop the fight.
