Round 1 Floyd Lundy throws a cross that easily dodged by Powers. Both fighters begin to exchange Hawk Powers catches Lundy with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Lundy gather himself. Lundy says he is ok and the fight continues. A wild hook from Floyd is ducked by Hawk who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Powers reaches down and trips Floyd with a beautiful ankle pick. Powers dives into back control. Floyd Lundy tries to stand up but Powers plants him back down with several strikes. Powers lays into Floyd Lundy with some strong shots forcing Floyd Lundy to give up mount position. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Lundy hits an uppercut to the head of Hawk followed by a hard hook. Hawk Powers dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. A wild hook from Lundy is ducked by Hawk Powers who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Floyd throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Hawk Powers puts Floyd on the mat giving his back up. Powers tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Powers peppers shots to the head of Floyd and finds an opening to slide his arm under the neck for a tight choke. Floyd struggles for a bit but has to tap out.
