Round 1 Flipse narrowly dodges a cross from Junior Gamboa, but falls catching him in his guard. Gamboa pushes down Flipses leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Flipse tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Flipse hits an upward elbow on Junior Gamboa, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Junior Gamboa takes side control. Gamboa lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Flipse tries to get back to full guard, but has to settle with half guard. Bart Flipse tries to scramble out of half guard, but Gamboa takes his back during it. Gamboa lands a double punch to the head of Bart Flipse. Gamboa begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Flipse rolls to being mounted instead. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Bart Flipse narrowly dodges a cross from Junior, but falls catching him in his guard. Gamboa pushes down Bart Flipses leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Bart Flipse holds the head of Gamboa close to avoid shots. Gamboa slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Junior Gamboa presses his foot onto the thigh of Bart to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Gamboa lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Bart tries to get back to full guard, but has to settle with half guard. Bart tries to scramble out of half guard, but Gamboa takes his back during it. Junior slides off to the side of Flipse and lands several heavy knees into his ribs. Before he can lose the position, Junior switches back to full back control. Junior Gamboa lays into Bart Flipse with some strong shots forcing Bart Flipse to give up mount position. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Junior hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Junior Gamboa tries to hyperextend the knee of Bart with a kick to the kneecap. Bart hops back to avoid it. Gamboa dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Junior ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Bart Flipse to the mat, and his back. Junior Gamboa lands a double punch to the head of Bart. Junior peppers shot to the head of Flipse looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Flipse is hand playing well. The bell signals the end of round 3.
