Round 1 The fighters circle each other. Yi throws a cross that easily dodged by Curtis. Genghis Yi hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. George hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Yi. Genghis connects with a jab cross combination. Curtis blocks a few strikes and moves in delivering a powerful belly-to-belly slam that knocks the wind out of Yi. Yi rolls avoid strikes to the face and Curtis takes advantage taking Yis back. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Genghis throws a cross that easily dodged by George. George throws a push kick. Yi shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into George Curtiss nose.
Genghis Yi is staggered by a jab to the chin. George circles Yi, mixing jabs with body shots. George Curtis stuffs a shot from Yi and strikes two solid knees to his skull. Yi is stunned and George Curtis takes mount with in a quick scramble. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Curtis fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Genghis Yi to the cage. Genghis Yi swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Yi attempts to transition to the butterfly guard but George is too quick and takes half guard. George is able to slip into mount from the half guard. George Curtis secures his position. Yi gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Curtis lands a double punch to the head of Yi. George Curtis lands a double punch to the head of Genghis Yi. The bell signals the end of round 3.
