Round 1 A welt begins to form under Damarco Newtons eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Daevon. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Hamilton winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Daevon Hamilton lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by "The Dragon ". Daevon connects with a jab cross combination. Hamilton tries to stop a shot with a punch but Damarco Newton plows through Hamiltons attempt and ends up in guard. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 "The Dragon " connects with a hard punch making Hamilton bring him in to a tight clinch. Damarco receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. Damarco dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Daevon Hamilton standing over him. Daevon Hamilton attempts to drop a fist on Damarco, but misses and lands in his guard. Damarco Newton begins to posture on his side. Daevon Hamilton lands a couple of outside hooks and Damarco Newton returns to the guard. Daevon Hamilton tries to pass guard but Damarco stops him with a well timed punch. Round 3 Damarco parries a jab but leaves himself open for a hard cross that sends him to the canvas. Daevon Hamilton follows with a falling punch into Newtons guard. Damarco is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Daevon Hamilton drops a few strong punches, opening up Newtons guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Damarco Newton gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Daevon Hamilton tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Damarco starts to wiggle out of back control, Daevon lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Hamilton locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of Newton. Hamilton places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Damarco Newton escapes the clinch and creates some distance. "The Dragon " attempts a takedown but slips, and Daevon Hamilton backs away. Daevon Hamilton is standing over "The Dragon ". Daevon Hamilton stands over "The Dragon ", works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. "The Dragon " is able to grab an arm and pull Daevon Hamilton into his guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
