Round 1 Frye lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Abdiesus. Frye then switch kicks Abdiesus on the opposing rib. "Kumite" winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Mack attempts a lazy shot, which Habibi sprawls, eventually taking Mack back. Abdiesus peppers shot to the head of Frye Mack looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Frye Mack is hand playing well. "Kumite" starts to wiggle out of back control, Abdiesus Habibi lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Both fighters begin to exchange Abdiesus catches Frye Mack with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Frye Mack gather himself. Frye Mack says he is ok and the fight continues. Habibi attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Frye Mack takes advantage of the moment taking side control. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Mack hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Abdiesus Habibi connects with a strong body shot combo. Frye circles Abdiesus, keeping him at bay with quick strikes. Frye Mack shuffles away from Abdiesuss strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Abdiesus backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Abdiesus Habibi winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. The fighters circle each other. Round 3 Abdiesus starts to put on the pressure, forcing Frye back into the cage. Abdiesus takes advantage and clinches. Mack dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Abdiesus standing over him. Abdiesus Habibi kicks at the legs of Frye and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Frye to stand. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. "Diesel" throws a short elbow at Mack. Frye Mack bullies forward in the clinch sending both fighters tumbling over. "Diesel" ends up mounting Frye Mack.Round 3 comes to a close.
