Round 1 "Kumite" catches a leg kick from Saulys, and puts him on the mat. "The Mantis" lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Carl Iversen sits up in Eimantas Saulyss open guard and spins to an leg lock. Saulys is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. "Kumite" is thrown for a tizzy by the sheer volume of punches that Saulys is throwing his direction. Eimantas Saulys parries Carls jab and connect with a cross. Saulys attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Carl Iversen takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Carl Iversen lands a few stiff elbows from side control. "The Mantis" gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Carls legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. "Kumite" connects with a hard punch making Eimantas Saulys bring him in to a tight clinch. A stiff elbow looks to have Carl dazed. "The Mantis" lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Saulys fakes a shot attempt from the clinch, opening "Kumite" up for a flurry of hooks. "The Mantis" traps Carl Iversen in the cage, landing a few strong punches to the face and body. Saulys connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Eimantas traps Carl in the cage, landing a few strong punches to the face and body. A straight powerful jab from Eimantas sends Carl crashing to the mat.
