Round 1
Arsenio takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. "The Pretzel" connects with a hard punch making "Aldo" bring him in to a tight clinch. Ekkehardt Ritzel uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown, landing in full guard. Ekkehardt sits up in "Aldos" open guard and spins to an leg lock. Arsenio Montoya is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. Ritzel narrowly dodges a cross from Arsenio Montoya, but falls catching him in his guard. Montoya tries to move to half guard but Ekkehardt uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Ekkehardt locks a triangle but "Aldo" defends well. Ekkehardt decides to let go of the hold. Ekkehardt attempts an omoplata and almost has it sunk but "Aldo" is able to survive any major damage. Ekkehardt cannot finish the hold and decides to stand up. The bell signals the end of round 1.

Round 2
A wild hook from "Aldo" is ducked by Ritzel who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Ekkehardt parries Arsenio Montoyas jab and connect with a cross. Arsenio Montoya connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Montoya connects with a jab cross combination. "The Pretzel" tries to hyperextend the knee of Arsenio Montoya with a kick to the kneecap. Arsenio Montoya hops back to avoid it. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch.Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
Arsenio Montoya tries to hyperextend the knee of Ekkehardt with a kick to the kneecap. Ekkehardt hops back to avoid it. Montoya winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Arsenio Montoya connects with a hard jab as Ekkehardt attempts a wide outside hook. Arsenio Montoya lands a double jab. The round comes to an end.
