Round 1 Starnes parries Walts jab and connect with a cross. A wild hook from Lawrence is ducked by Skip who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Walt dodges a jab and lands a kick to the face of Starnes. Walt throws a hard jab but Skip Starnes throws a cross right over the top rocking Walt. Walt Lawrence hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Lawrence catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Skip. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Skip Starnes connects with a right that puts Walt off balance tumbling to the mat, as Skip Starnes towers over him. Skip Starnes attempts to drop a fist on Lawrence, but misses and lands in his guard. Walt begins to posture on his side. Skip Starnes lands a couple of outside hooks and Walt returns to the guard. Walt Lawrence attempts to create some space from his guard, but Starnes sees the opening and passes to full mount. Skip Starnes maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Skip telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Lawrence gives up his back to stop the attempt. Starnes lands a series of heavy punches forcing Lawrence to roll to his back, giving Starnes mount. Skip Starnes secures his position. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Walt Lawrence circles Skip, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Lawrence shuffles away from Starness strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Skip Starnes backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Skip Starnes connects with a strong right hook. Skip Starnes is staggered by a jab to the chin. Walt lands a solid kick to the inside thigh of Skip. Skip connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head.Round 3 comes to a close.
