Round 1
Nelson Thompson connects with numerous jabs to the face of Hector Cabrera. Hector is hit with a jab and then taken down by a beautiful single-leg takedown. Hector Cabrera start to move for the kimura but Nelson postures up and drop a powerful double-axe handle that forces Hector Cabrera flat on his back. Nelson Thompson pushes down Cabreras leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Nelson slams his knee into Hector Cabreras ribs. Nelson drops an elbow onto the forehead of "Speed". Nelson wraps the arm of Hector Cabrera behind his back and traps it. Nelson pounds away with shots to the face. The bell signals the end of round 1.

Round 2
A welt begins to form under "Speeds" eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Nelson. "Love and Affection" tries to hyperextend the knee of "Speed" with a kick to the kneecap. "Speed" hops back to avoid it. Hector Cabrera throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Nelson Thompson puts Hector Cabrera on the mat giving his back up. Nelson Thompson peppers shot to the head of Hector looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Hector is hand playing well. Hector Cabrera starts to wiggle out of back control, Nelson Thompson lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Nelson snaps back the head of "Speed" with a stiff jab. A shot catches Hector off balance and off guard. Thompson spears him but can only manage to make it to guard. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
Nelson Thompson fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Cabrera. Thompson receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Cabrera. Nelson escapes the clinch and creates some distance. "Speed" is met with a hook cross combo that staggers him. Nelson explodes with a flurry of punches. "Speed" is then thrown to the floor. "Love and Affection" drops a huge strike to "Speeds" chin, landing into his guard. Nelson takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Hectors guard. It doesn't pay off as "Speed" makes his way to standing. Thompson catches a leg kick from Cabrera, and puts him on the mat. Nelson dodges a few strikes from Hector and cuts him open with a couple of powerful elbows. Thompson knocks the wind out of "Speed" with a strong elbow strike to the abdomen. The round comes to an end.

Round 4
Nelson Thompson is struck by a ball kick from Hector that opens him up for a push kick to the midsection. The fighters circle each other. Hector is hit with a hook and a shovel punch and stumbles backward. Thompson tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Hector that puts him on the floor. Hector Cabrera lays into "Love and Affections" thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Nelson Thompson does so. Nelson Thompson throws a kick to the midsection that is caught by Hector. Hector lands a sweeping leg kick that puts Nelson Thompson on his back. Hector lands a strong heel spike on the quadriceps of Thompson. Cabrera kicks at the legs of Thompson and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Thompson to stand. Thompson connects with jab cross combination. Nelson Thompson parries a jab but is caught by a strong leg kick. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 5
As Nelson Thompson presses forward Hector throws a wild spinning backfist. Nelson Thompson ducks under it and executes a double-leg to gain half guard. Nelson Thompson slips out of half guard and into side control. Cabrera takes a few knees to the body while under Thompsons side control. Hector gives his back in an attempt to get out of side control. As "Love and Affection" spins around to take it, Hector makes his way back to his feet. Thompson stuffs a shot from Cabrera and hits him with an outside body shot. Cabrera gives up on the takedown and pulls guard. Nelson drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. While in his opponents guard Nelson Thompson powers himself and "Speed" up in the air and slams him down to the canvas. "Speed" slides out from bottom grasping the back of Nelson Thompson allowing him to get back control.Round 5 comes to a close.
