Round 1 The fighters circle each other. Frye narrowly dodges a cross from Te, but falls catching him in his guard. Ouellet slides his body to the side and pushes out of guard. Te grabs a guillotine hold and forces Ouellet back down gaining side control. Frye gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Frye connects with a hard jab as Te attempts a wide outside hook. Zhou Te sends Ouellet to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Ouellet slides his body to the side and pushes out of guard. Te grabs a guillotine hold and forces Ouellet back down gaining side control. Zhou Te slides his knee across the body of Frye and takes full mount. Zhou Te postures up and begins to fire off rapid shots from mount but Frye tripods up and sweeps him over to his back. Frye quickly gets himself to mount. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Te catches a leg kick from Ouellet, and puts him on the mat. Frye Ouellet slides his body to the side and pushes out of guard. Te grabs a guillotine hold and forces Frye Ouellet back down gaining side control. Zhou slides his knee across the body of Ouellet and takes full mount. Ouellet kicks off a leg and finds space off to the side and wraps around the body of Zhou getting his back. Round 3 comes to a close.
