Round 1 Billy Gray takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Gray connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Vaelua Taualai hunts down his opponent and throws 2 heavy haymakers that get nothing but air. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Round 2 Vaelua parries a jab but leaves himself open for a hard cross. A welt begins to form under Taualais eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Billy. Gray feints and follows up with a hard crossto the head of Vaelua Taualai. Billy Gray connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Taualai lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Gray. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Vaelua lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a strong uppercut. Vaelua Taualai throws a push kick. Billy shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Taualais nose.
Billy blocks a cross, liver shot combo but is pushed backward. Vaelua tries to press the action but is met with a jab, cross, uppercut that puts him to on the floor. Billy Gray kicks at the legs of Vaelua and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Vaelua to stand. Vaelua Taualai lands a strong outside leg kick but is met with a counter hook from Billy Gray that puts him on the floor. Gray stands over Taualai, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Taualai cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Billy Gray kicks at the legs of Taualai and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Taualai to stand. Billy keeps Vaelua at a distance with some well timed jabs. Gray counters a jab with a stiff uppercut. The bell signals the end of round 3.
