Round 1 Rory Lafromboise snaps back the head of Ron with a stiff jab. Ron Hamilton lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Rory. Ron Hamilton then switch kicks Rory on the opposing rib. Lafromboise tries to hyperextend the knee of Ron Hamilton with a kick to the kneecap. Ron Hamilton hops back to avoid it. Lafromboise weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 "Rudy" is met with a strong kick to the ribs. Ron catches a leg kick from Rory Lafromboise, and puts him on the mat. Rory begins to posture on his side. Ron lands a couple of outside hooks and Rory returns to the guard. Ron frees a leg and moves into half guard. Rory tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Hamilton slips out of half guard and into side control. Ron delivers knees to the body and sharp forearms to the head forcing Lafromboise to turn over. Ron takes the back. Lafromboise starts to wiggle out of back control, Hamilton lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Lafromboise dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Ron Hamilton circles Lafromboise, mixing jabs with body shots. Ron presses forward, grabbing the plum and lands a strong hook, buckling "Mountain Top" to the mat. Ron follows him into the guard. "Mountain Top" begins to posture on his side. Hamilton lands a couple of outside hooks and "Mountain Top" returns to the guard. Hamilton pushes down Rorys leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Rory holds the head of Ron Hamilton close to avoid shots. Ron Hamilton slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. "Rudy" presses his foot onto the thigh of Rory to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Hamilton drops some good elbows to the face of Lafromboise forcing him to give up his back. Lafromboise slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Rory is hit with a jab then hook to the body and stumbles backward. "Rudy" explodes forward with a push kick that puts Rory on the canvas. Round 3 is finished.
