Round 1 Charo Cruz lands a hook to the body. Charo is struck by a ball kick from Cabrera that opens him up for a push kick to the midsection. Hector lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Charo. Cruz circles to the right. Cabrera hits a hard spinning back kick to the body. "Speed" keeps Cruz at a distance with some well timed jabs. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Charo Cruz connects with jab cross combination. A wild hook from "Speed" is ducked by Charo Cruz who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Round 3 Hector Cabrera is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Charo Cruz. Charo Cruz connects with a series of punches forcing Cabrera into a clinch. Cabrera drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Charo Cruz sets a guillotine choke but Cabrera slips out at the last moment. Cabrera is now caught in guard. Charo attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. A strong elbow forces Hector to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Charo pounces on Hector, but is met with a powerful upkick. Charo manages to land into side control though.Round 3 comes to a close.
