Round 1
Both fighters begin to exchange "el Fantasma" catches Matvey with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Matvey gather himself. Matvey says he is ok and the fight continues. Cervantes connects with a hard punch making Matvey Onikienko bring him in to a tight clinch. Onikienko drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Juanito sets a guillotine choke but Onikienko slips out at the last moment. Onikienko is now caught in guard. Juanito Cervantes backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Cervantes connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Onikienko hunts down his opponent and throws 2 heavy haymakers that get nothing but air. Cervantes peppers Onikienko with a flurry of punches that cannot be kept up with. A jab-hook-uppercut combo has Onikienko stepping back and shaking the cobwebs out. Round 1 comes to a close.

Round 2
Matvey Onikienko connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Matvey stuffs a shot from Cervantes and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. "el Fantasma" lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Juanito gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. "el Fantasma" tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Juanito Cervantes holds the head of Matvey close to avoid shots. Matvey slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Matvey Onikienko tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
"el Fantasma" connects with a brutal kick to the liver of Matvey who falls to the ground. "el Fantasma" waves him back to his feet. Onikienko throws a hard jab but Juanito throws a cross right over the top rocking Onikienko. "el Fantasma" chips away at Matvey Onikienko with a series of kicks to the legs. Matvey Onikienko throws a push kick. "el Fantasma" shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Matveys nose. "el Fantasma" connects with a brutal kick to the liver of Matvey who falls to the ground. "el Fantasma" waves him back to his feet. Juanito lands a double jab. Matvey is met with a strong kick to the ribs. Cervantes parries Onikienkos jab and lands a liver shot. "el Fantasma" dodges a jab and clinches with Matvey Onikienko, delivering a knee as he does so. Cervantes connects with a hard right hand putting Onikienko on the mat. Cervantes goes down with him into side control. Round 3 is finished.

Round 4
Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Matvey eats a stiff kick to the face. Onikienko eats a stiff kick to the face. Matvey throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. "el Fantasma" is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Juanito Cervantes connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Onikienko does a good job to circle away from Juanito but becomes too predictable and Juanito lands a switch kick to Matveys ribs. A welt begins to form under Onikienkos eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Juanito. Cervantes throws a hard jab but Matvey Onikienko throws a cross right over the top rocking Cervantes. Juanito connects with a sweeping kick at the leg of Matvey. Matvey Onikienko is met with a hook cross combo that staggers him. Juanito Cervantes explodes with a flurry of punches. Matvey Onikienko is then thrown to the floor. Round 4 is over.

Round 5
A cross from Onikienko is parried followed by an uppercut from Juanito. Matvey Onikienko throws a crisp jab, but Juanito slips it and moves in for the clinch. Matvey works "el Fantasma" into a corner, swimming for double underhooks. Matvey presses his head into Juanito Cervantess chest, forcing him to the ground. Cervantes backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Juanito stuffs a shot from Matvey Onikienko and hits him with an outside body shot. Matvey Onikienko gives up on the takedown and pulls guard. Cervantes tries to move to half guard but Onikienko uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Onikienko grabs the arm of Cervantes while in guard and holds tight eating shots to ribs. Matvey sinks a kimura fromt he bottom but cannot finish. He rolls Juanito Cervantes over to gain mount but Juanito Cervantes is able to achieve half guard with a great scramble. Matvey releases the kimura. Round 5 comes to a close.
