Round 1
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. JC Patterson works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Cicero Barros takes the back of JC who works for a kimura. Cicero Barros pulls his arm out of the hold and push JC away. JC connects with jab cross combination. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. JC Pattersons legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. Patterson parries Ciceros jab and connect with a cross that floors Cicero. JC lays into Barross thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Barros does so. Round 1 is over.

Round 2
Patterson lands a hook to the body. JC clinches with Barros and lands multiple piston shots and short uppercuts to soften up Barros for a trip takedown, landing JC is half guard. JC Patterson presses his foot onto the thigh of Cicero Barros to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Cicero Barros gives his back in an attempt to get out of side control. As JC Patterson spins around to take it, Cicero Barros makes his way back to his feet. Patterson blocks a cross, liver shot combo but is pushed backward. Cicero tries to press the action but is met with a jab, cross, uppercut that puts him to on the floor. Patterson lays into Ciceros thighs with some well timed kicks while Cicero is grounded. Round 2 is over.

Round 3
Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Patterson fires a haymaker but misses spinning himself around. Barros quickly takes his back. JC Patterson carefully protects himself from Ciceros strikes. JC Patterson is able to make it back to the standing position. Patterson unleashes a flurry of punches on Cicero. Cicero Barros lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. Barros stuffs a shot from JC Patterson and strikes two solid knees to his skull. JC Patterson is stunned and Barros takes mount with in a quick scramble.Round 3 comes to a close.
