Round 1 Malcolm stuffs a shot from Samuel Favre and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. A right hand from Samuel Favre while in guard angers Malcolm who returns the favor with a powerful right hand. An attempt to pull a switch is blocked by Malcolm but both fighters end up on their side. Both fighters scramble to a stand up. Powers lands a double jab. Samuel connects with a hard jab as Powers attempts a wide outside hook. Samuel Favre attempts to press in but Malcolm uses a inside reaping to put Samuel Favre on the canvas. Malcolm hops to side control. Samuel Favre almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Malcolm Powers throws a knee into Favres ribs. Favre tries to scramble to escape any more punishment but gives up his back in the process. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Malcolm connects with jab cross combination. The fighters circle each other. A shot from Samuel is countered with a well timed hook to his temple. Malcolm scrambles to his back but cannot sink a choke. Samuel tries to explode out the backdoor but Malcolm sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Samuel falls flat to protect himself. Samuel Favre starts to wiggle out of back control, Powers lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Powers snaps back the head of Samuel with a stiff jab. An outside leg trip puts Malcolm Powers into side control. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 The fighters circle each other. A trip to the ground allows Samuel Favre to move into the guard of Malcolm. Malcolm Powers goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Samuel Favre slips out at the last second. Favre presses the action while in the guard, but Powers is able to switch him into mount. Powers punishes Samuel Favre with a series of strikes from the mount. Malcolm Powers jumps out of mount and back to dominant side control. Round 3 is over.
