Round 1 Ian Wilson hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Gerasimov takes the back of Wilson who works for a kimura. Gerasimov pulls his arm out of the hold and push Wilson away. Dimitri Gerasimov hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Dimitri Gerasimov catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Wilson. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Dimitri connects with a hard punch making Wilson bring him in to a tight clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Gerasimov works to Wilsons back while standing. Gerasimov throws a couple of outside shots until Wilson is able to work his way back to the clinch. Dimitri drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Gerasimov pushes down Ians leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Dimitri slips out of half guard and into side control. Ian takes a few knees to the body while under Gerasimovs side control. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Ian connects with a hard punch making Gerasimov bring him in to a tight clinch. Wilson places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. While tied up, Dimitri Gerasimov is met with a hard uppercut. Ian takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Ian Wilson connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Wilson shuffles away from Gerasimovs strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Dimitri backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. A shot attempt from Gerasimov is sidestepped by Wilson who counters with a hard spear of his own. Wilson throws an outside hook that lands flush allowing him to stand up to tower over Gerasimov. Ian Wilson stands over Gerasimov, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Gerasimov is able to grab an arm and pull Ian Wilson into his guard. The round comes to an end.
