Round 1 Cherry connects with a series of punches forcing Hikaru into a clinch. Earl works Nosaka into the cage from the clinch. Earl presses his head under Nosakas chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Hikaru Nosaka attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Earl Cherry pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. A looping right hook from Earl sends "NHB NK" to the mat. Cherry drops a huge strike to Nosakas chin, landing into his guard. Cherry takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Hikarus guard. It doesn't pay off as Nosaka makes his way to standing. "4" sends "NHB NK" to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Hikaru Nosaka begins to work the rubber guard. Chop shots lands on Cherrys face but he lowers his head, pushes his hand through Nosakas guard and chucks him to his side. Earl moves to side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 A shot from Earl Cherry is countered by a guillotine from Nosaka. Earl Cherry follows through with a slam that stuns Nosaka. Earl Cherry moves to mount. While in dominant mount position Earl Cherry rains down hard shots forcing Hikaru Nosaka to cover up. Referee yells to defend but Earl Cherry lands more shots to get the stoppage.
