Round 1 The fighters circle each other. Colombera connects with a jab cross combination. Simone Colombera parries Ryos jab and connect with a cross. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Ryo Shimamura wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of Colombera. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Colombera winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Colombera hits an uppercut to the head of Ryo Shimamura followed by a hard hook. "NP Vietnam SFL" hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Simone circles Ryo Shimamura, landing jabs at will. Simone hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Ryo. Colombera lands a double jab. Simone Colombera rushes forward with strikes and Shimamura slips to his all fours. Simone Colombera unleashes a barrage of punches. Shimamura is stuck against the cage and cannot roll to his guard. Simone Colombera finishes his flurry with two strong uppercuts. The ref jumps in and Shimamura crumples face down in a bloody mess.
