Round 1
Rodrigo Ruiz circles Richard, mixing jabs and leg kicks. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Rodrigo Ruiz ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Haden to the mat, and his back. Giving up his back, "GRAPPLE" panics and gives up mount instead. "GRAPPLE" shifts his head and hips to keep Ruiz off balance and unable to land strikes. Ruiz postures up and begins to fire off rapid shots from mount but Haden tripods up and sweeps him over to his back. Haden quickly gets himself to mount. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Rodrigo Ruiz dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Richard Haden pressures his opponent into clinching. "GRAPPLE" lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. A stiff elbow looks to have Rodrigo Ruiz dazed. Rodrigo Ruiz absorbs several body shots while being tied up. Haden works to Rodrigos back while standing. Haden throws a couple of outside shots until Ruiz is able to work his way back to the clinch. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
Richard Haden starts to put on the pressure, forcing Rodrigo Ruiz back into the cage. Richard Haden takes advantage and clinches. Rodrigo attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with Haden standing over him. Richard cannot find an opening to pounce. The ref brings Ruiz back to his feet. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Richard Haden connects with a series of punches forcing Ruiz into a clinch. An attempt at a clinch takedown from Richard is defended well by Rodrigo. Richard grabs an overhook, steps to the side to land two haymaker body shots, then an uppercut. Richard returns to the clinch. Two short elbows from the clinch put Richard Haden off balance. Ruiz holds him up, landing two more quick elbows. "GRAPPLE" begins to thrust his shoulder in the face of Rodrigo. Round 3 is finished.

Richard "GRAPPLE" Haden wins by Split Decision
