Round 1
Nick attempts a striking combination, but Matthew forces the clinch. Matthew places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. While in the clinch Murphy attempts a knee to the leg of Nick Hong but is quickly tossed to the ground with a Kouchi Gaeshi technique. Murphy scrambles right back to the feet. Nick Hong snaps back the head of Matthew Murphy with a stiff jab. Nick hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Matthew. Nick Hong is staggered by a jab to the chin. Hong lands a strong outside leg kick but is met with a counter hook from Murphy that puts him on the floor. Murphy stands over Hong, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Hong is able to grab an arm and pull Murphy into his guard. The bell signals the end of round 1.

Round 2
Matthew Murphy is staggered by a jab to the chin. Matthew throws a crisp jab, but Hong slips it and moves in for the clinch. Nick takes the back of Murphy who works for a kimura. Nick pulls his arm out of the hold and push Murphy away. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Hong lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Murphy escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Hong sends Matthew to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
A wild hook from Matthew is ducked by Nick Hong who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Nick throws a few strikes allowing him to clinch with his opponent. Matthew places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Nick is jockeying for position in the clinch. Matthew fakes a shot attempt from the clinch, opening Hong up for a flurry of hooks. Murphy blocks a strong high kick from Hong and counters with a devastating left hook. Hong parries Matthews jab and connect with a cross. Matthew Murphy traps Nick in the cage, landing a few strong punches to the face and body. Hong throws a hard jab but Murphy throws a cross right over the top that knocks out Hong.
