Round 1
Munro throws a cross that easily dodged by Helge Izgiyayev. Kennedy Munro connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. The fighters circle each other. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Munro hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Izgiyayev takes a punch while shooting but executes the takedown and ends up in Kennedys guard. The round comes to an end.

Round 2
Munro works Helge Izgiyayev into the cage, swimming for double underhooks. Munro presses his head into Helge Izgiyayevs chest, forcing him to the ground. A kimura attempt is defended well by Kennedy Munro and he is able to sneak his leg through Helges loose guard, to half guard. "GRAPPLE" is able to slip into mount from the half guard. "GRAPPLE" maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Helge Izgiyayev gets pummeled by the fists of "GRAPPLE". Helge Izgiyayev gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Izgiyayev tries to stand up but Kennedy Munro plants him back down with several strikes. Helge Izgiyayev starts to wiggle out of back control, Kennedy Munro lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The bell signals the end of round 2.

Round 3
Munro parries Helges jab and connect with a cross. Kennedy Munro is staggered by a jab to the chin. Kennedy Munro loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Helge for the mistake. Helge has side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
