Round 1 Shawn Gray winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Hunter Powers hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Gray throws a push kick. Hunter Powers shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Shawn Grays nose.
Gray is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Hunter. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Hunter attempts to grab the plum but is hit by an aggressive uppercut from Shawn Gray. Hunter takes Shawn Grays back standing. Shawn Gray isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Hunter lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Shawn Gray to release. Gray hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Powers throws a few jabs at Shawn that miss the mark. Hunter Powers snaps back the head of Shawn Gray with a stiff jab. Gray is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. Hunter kicks at the legs of Shawn and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Shawn to stand. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Hunter connects with a strong right hook. Shawn executes a single leg giving him the back of Hunter Powers. Hunter Powers carefully protects himself from Shawns strikes. Hunter Powers is able to make it back to the standing position. Powers circles Shawn, mixing jabs with body shots. Hunter Powers throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Gray is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Grays legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. Round 3 is finished.
