Round 1 James Jodoin fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with "NHB NK". Nosaka gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. James Jodoin takes Nosakas back standing. Nosaka isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but James Jodoin lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Nosaka to release. James narrowly dodges a cross from "NHB NK", but falls catching him in his guard. Jodoin starts to lock a triangle. Hikaru Nosaka postures up and starts to stand up. Jodoin lands a stiff upkick, slumping Hikaru Nosaka back into his guard. A tight body triangle from the bottom position forces Hikaru Nosaka to pull James Jodoin close. Hikaru Nosaka is having trouble breathing in Jamess guard. James Jodoin fires elbows off his back to the top of the head of Hikaru Nosaka. James locks a triangle but Hikaru Nosaka defends well. James decides to let go of the hold. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 James shoots in and executes a textbook single leg takedown, giving him side control. James Jodoin slides his knee across the body of Hikaru Nosaka and takes full mount. Jodoin secures his position. James telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Hikaru Nosaka gives up his back to stop the attempt. James tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. James works his arm around the neck of Hikaru Nosaka attempting to get a tight rear naked choke but Hikaru Nosaka hand fights well. Hikaru Nosaka spins through into the guard of James. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 James Jodoin sends "NHB NK" to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Hikaru Nosaka keeps his head down in the chest of James Jodoin to avoid any submission attempts. Hikaru Nosaka leans up and lands some short punches before lowering back down. Jodoin takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in "NHB NKs" guard. It doesn't pay off as "NHB NK" makes his way to standing. "NHB NK" throws a cross that easily dodged by James Jodoin. "NHB NK" keeps James at a distance with some well timed jabs. Nosaka catches a kick from Jodoin and drops down for a leg lock. Jodoin attempts to spin out of it but the lock is still tight. Nosaka moves to a kneebar. Jodoin fight through the pain and get to side control. James Jodoin attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Nosaka for his troubles. Hikaru gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. The round comes to an end.
