Round 1
A single-leg attempt is well defended by Castaneda. Stewart stands up, lifting the leg of Castaneda and executing a trip takedown. Erik takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Calacas guard. It doesn't pay off as Castaneda makes his way to standing. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Erik Stewart connects with a strong right hook. Stewart connects with a hard punch making Calaca bring him in to a tight clinch. Erik uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown, landing in full guard. Calaca Castaneda tries for a kimura from the bottom. Erik Stewart throws an outside punch and Calaca Castaneda releases the hold. A can opener from Stewart opens up Calaca Castanedas guard. Stewart lands two quick strikes as he moves into half guard. Calaca is able to work a leg through from the bottom to attain full guard. Erik takes advantage of a mental laps from Castaneda and moves into full mount. Round 2 is over.

Round 3
A left high kick from Calaca Castaneda keeps Erik at bay. Calaca throws a teep backing Erik Stewart off. Calaca Castaneda hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. A welt begins to form under Erik Stewarts eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Castaneda. Castaneda throws an axe kick that misses the target. Calaca connects with a strong right hook. Calaca Castaneda connects with a jab cross combination. Stewart takes a punch to the jaw. He drops his hands and asks Calaca Castaneda to hit him harder. Calaca hits an uppercut to the head of Stewart followed by a hard hook. Castaneda connects with a brutal kick to the liver of Erik who falls to the ground. Castaneda waves him back to his feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
