Round 1 Gerwyn connects with numerous jabs to the face of James. Dennard connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Treharne. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Dennard James attempts to grab the plum but Gerwyn Treharne takes the opportunity to attain double underhooks and take down Dennard James. Dennard James attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. James hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Treharne winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Gerwyn attempts a lazy shot, which Dennard James sprawls, eventually taking Gerwyn back. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Gerwyn eats a jab,jab, then a hook from James. Gerwyn Treharne throws a hard jab but Dennard James throws a cross right over the top rocking Gerwyn Treharne. Dennard James ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Gerwyn to the mat, and his back. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Dennard connects with numerous jabs to the face of Treharne. Gerwyn shoots in on Dennard James who sprawls well and lands multiple outside strikes. Gerwyn gives up on the shot and rolls to his guard. Dennard James opens up the guard and rises back to his feet. James throws a short kick to the downed Gerwyn Treharne. Gerwyn Treharne takes the chance to rise back to his feet. Treharne shoots in on Dennard James but cannot finish the takedown. Dennard James lands a couple of knees to the head, forcing Treharne to roll to his guard. While caught in Gerwyns guard, Dennard James gets hit with a vicious elbow.Round 3 comes to a close.
