Round 1
Walter Glover winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. "Event" plows through Walter with a driving double leg takedown. Francisco Alvarez drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Glover attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet.Round 1 comes to a close.

Round 2
Francisco Alvarez fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with "Smooth". "Event" works Walter Glover into the cage from the clinch. "Event" presses his head under "Smooths" chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Alvarez takes "Smooths" back standing. Walter isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Alvarez lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Walter to release. Glover takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. A trip to the ground allows Alvarez to move into the guard of Walter Glover. "Event" takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in "Smooths" guard. It doesn't pay off as "Smooth" makes his way to standing. Alvarez stuffs a shot from Walter Glover and hits him with an outside body shot. Walter Glover gives up on the takedown and pulls guard. Walter start to move for the kimura but Francisco Alvarez postures up and drop a powerful double-axe handle that forces Walter flat on his back. Walter is caught in a can opener and opens his guard. He lands two quick strikes but Francisco Alvarez transitions to half guard. Round 2 is over.

Round 3
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Francisco takes Glovers back standing. "Smooth" isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Francisco lands a sharp shovel punch that forces "Smooth" to release. Alvarez winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. "Smooth" throws a few jabs at Francisco Alvarez that miss the mark. A double-leg shot is stuffed initially by Glover, but Francisco is able to muscle through for a takedown. The round comes to an end.
