Round 1 A spinning back kick leaves Mary Gruber stumbling back and clutching her side. Brianna circles Gruber, landing a front snap kick that stuns her. A trip to the ground allows Mary Gruber to move into the guard of Roberts. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Gruber throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Roberts is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Gruber connects with a hard punch making Brianna Roberts bring her in to a tight clinch. A strong elbow forces Brianna to lose her balance and fall to the floor. Mary hovers over Roberts pushing her legs to the side and throwing punches down at her body and head. Roberts sends a hard up kick that rocks Mary. Roberts stands back up. Roberts circles Mary, landing a front snap kick that stuns her. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Mary directs the head of Brianna Roberts leading to a stiff knee to the face. Gruber attempts a takedown but is out leveraged and taken down herself. Brianna now is in dominant side mount. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Roberts is hit with a hook and a shovel punch and stumbles backward. Mary explodes forward with a push kick that puts Roberts on the canvas. Mary kicks at the legs of Brianna and then asks her to stand up. The referee tells Brianna to stand. After dodging a jab, Gruber lands a kick to the liver of Roberts who steps back only to take a knee. Gruber rushes forward to capitalize but Roberts falls to her back to avoid the onslaught. Gruber throws a short kick to the downed Brianna Roberts. Brianna Roberts takes the chance to rise back to her feet. Mary connects with a series of punches forcing Brianna into a clinch. Gruber throws a short elbow at Roberts. Brianna attempts a knee but is taken down by a basic trip. Mary Gruber lands in half guard. Mary Gruber opens a cut over the eye of Roberts. The doctor takes a look at it, and says she's okay to continue. Mary tries to pull her leg out of half guard, but no luck. The round comes to an end.
