Round 1 Dale connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Jozsef works Dale Reed into the cage from the clinch. Jozsef presses his head under Reeds chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Dale Reed receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Katona. Jozsef takes Dales back standing. Dale isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Jozsef lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Dale to release. Dale Reed parries a jab but is caught by a strong leg kick. Jozsef hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Katona lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Dale. Katona parries a right jab and lands a beautiful crescent kick, striking the ribs. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Dale eats a stiff kick to the face. A running flurry from Dale is countered by a well-timed shovel punch from Jozsef. Jozsef follows up with a powerful kick to the midsection. Dale Reed takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Reed throws a cross that easily dodged by Jozsef Katona. Jozsef Katona lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. Jozsef is cornered by Reed who tries to press the action. Jozsef is able to block well and circles away from Reed, delivering a chopping leg kick and a grazing cross as he does so. A powerful roundhouse kick to the skull sends Reed unconscious to the mat.
