Round 1
Acosta is staggered by a jab to the chin. Mau Acosta narrowly dodges a cross from Jose, but falls catching him in his guard. Acosta begins to posture on his side. Jose Trentini lands a couple of outside hooks and Acosta returns to the guard. Trentini presses the action while in the guard, but Mau is able to switch him into mount. Trentini lands a good elbow as "5 Foot Taquito" lowers his torso. "Bringing the Thunder" bucks off Acosta and both fighters get to their feet. Round 1 is finished.

Round 2
Jose Trentini hits an uppercut to the head of Acosta followed by a hard hook. Trentini connects with a hard jab as Mau Acosta attempts a wide outside hook. Trentini takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Acosta circles "Bringing the Thunder", mixing jabs and leg kicks. "5 Foot Taquito" circles "Bringing the Thunder", mixing jabs and leg kicks. A welt begins to form under Joses eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Acosta. Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Mau Acosta places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Acosta dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with "Bringing the Thunder" standing over him. Jose Trentini attempts to drop a fist on Acosta, but misses and lands in his guard. Acosta lands a stiff elbow while on his back. "5 Foot Taquito" connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Mau Acosta connects with several chop shots from the bottom. "Bringing the Thunder" starts to pepper away at the head of Mau Acosta. Mau Acosta slides out the back between the legs of "Bringing the Thunder" grabbing his leg and using the leverage to trip him. Mau Acosta dives into his guard. The bell signals the end of round 3.
